Position Summary
- Responsible for leadership, operational management, and strategy for Invasive Cardiology Departments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in applicable field of study
Licenses and Certification
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse License
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS
Experience and Skills
- Technical Experience – 4 years clinical in related field
- Supervisory Experience – 5 years of progressive leadership
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Facilitates reimbursement, working collaboratively with Medical Staff, Health Information, Quality, Patient Financial Services, Compliance, Information Services, and Patient Care Managers.
- Monitors revenue cycle management to improve clinical care coordination, correct coding/billing for hospital services and compliant documentation of patient care.
- Responsible for financial performance of Invasive Cardiovascular (CV) Services to include preparation of annual budgets, capital needs requirements, and supply contract management with primary vendors to optimize cost per case and minimize supply waste.
- Collaborates with leadership in each facility to ensure Invasive Cardiovascular Service processes are integrated optimally.
- Collaborates with Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons, and other providers to solicit and implement recommendations for efficient processes within Invasive CV Services to optimize performance and clinical care.
- Participates in the development of program initiatives that positively impact Invasive CV Services and evaluates effectiveness.
- Ensures leadership team monitors and responds to patient, family, and provider expectations in a timely manner. Reports trends and opportunities for improvement to Service Line Director.
- Assesses Invasive CV Services are providing appropriate management support and capabilities to hold leadership and staff accountable to driving high performance.
- Ensures clinical care is provided based on Evidence-Based Practices.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains data-based outcome metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
