Education
- Responsible for reviewing outpatient medical records for documentation impacting coding assignment.
Education
- Associates degree
Licenses and Certification
- Current Illinois license for RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
Experience and Skills
- Technical Experience: 2 years
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Completes review of provider based medical records
- Conducts follow up reviews
- Prompts/queries physicians with regards to missing, unclear or conflicting medical record documentation surrounding HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) diagnoses
- Collaborates with coding staff to ensure accuracy of diagnostic data
- Educates members of patient care team regarding documentation issues
- Analyzes and trends data
- Facilitates collaboration between physician, ancillary, and coding staff regarding medical record documentation
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
$22.74 - $35.25Salary : $23 - $35
