Position Summary
Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm, is seeking a full-time Corporate Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team in our Plano, TX office. The position will consist of three primary job functions: receptionist, office coordinator and administrative assistant.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receptionist
- Greet and assist employees and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer, screen and direct calls on multi-line phone system.
- Schedule appointments and update meeting calendars.
- Receive, send and distribute mail.
- Office Coordinator
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office, including ordering and re-stocking of office and kitchen supplies and orderliness of meeting rooms, breakroom, and other shared spaces.
- Point of contact for building and office equipment maintenance (copier, phones, postage meter, etc.).
- Coordinate move/change requests, catering, AV and ancillary items with various departments.
- Administrative Assistant
- Schedule meetings, conferences, and travel for staff and prepare expense reports for reimbursement.
- Assist with team specific research and tracking as needed.
- Point person for general inquiries regarding SLC developments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential always.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong and pleasant telephone and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years receptionist and/or administrative experience in professional office
