POSITION OVERVIEW
The Landscape Operations Manager is an industry leader that oversees all landscape installations, enhancements, and various spring clean ups. The manager is well versed in best horticulture practice, lighting, drainage, and equipment operation. Most importantly the manager is a “People Grower” at Southern Landscape Group. They are responsible for training current and future landscape leaders, being onsite to assist in any tasks team member are unsatisfactory in, and making sure all teams have the necessary tools and material to be successful both before and during installations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.) Work with Production Manager to plan and schedule work including :
a. Client Notifications
b. Utility Markings
c. Portable Toilets
2.) Hold pre-installation meetings with both Team Leaders and Landscape Professionals.
3.) Communicate with Director of Design Build to ensure necessary materials are either at SLG or are set up for direct ship to jobsite prior to commencement of job
4.) Monitor quality of work by inspecting all job sites during installation and post install
5.) Interacts with clients as required to ensure satisfaction
6.) Reviews time sheets daily for accuracy of both employee time and materials logged
7.) Trains all division team members both in field and in training setting on SLG Campus
8.) Responsible for inventory items and levels of materials in production barn
9.) Responsible for overseeing plant deliveries, plant inventories, and plant health care while in holding area
10.) Oversees fleet and equipment used by Landscape Teams
a. Truck Organization
b. Truck and Equipment Repairs and Cleanliness
c. Small Tool Repairs
d. Service Intervals
e. Moving Equipment
11.) Responsible for Hardscape Inventory and ensures material is clearly labeled for Jobs
12.) Responsible for keeping both brush pile and dump site pushed and accessible
13.) Responsible for keeping Aggregates, Mulch, and Dirt Bins stocked
14.) Responsible for Snow Set up and field management

This position requires that the individual to have the following certifications :
WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of the time (greater than 80%) will be spent in an outdoor environment, with limited ability to control noise, airborne contaminants and temperature.
The employee is expected to work the assigned hours at Southern Landscape Group from Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed. The work hours required of this position may be long when extended schedules are necessary. This is an hourly wage position with a normally expected work week of 50 / - hours, but the person in this position is expected to work those hours needed to successfully satisfy the responsibilities and duties of the position.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property.
