Job Summary
Southern Lighting Services, Inc., is an electrical contractor that specializes in the installation, repair, and maintenance of lighting, signage, and electrical systems and has serviced the Carolinas and beyond for over 30 years. We are looking for someone with a valid NC/SC Unlimited Electrical License to serve as area qualifier and director of electrical operations for our coastal NC location located in Leland, NC. A minimum of five years of commercial/industrial experience required.
Technical Skills:
- Thorough understanding of electrical theory and components
- Expertise in wiring methods and techniques
- Knowledge of different electrical systems (commercial, industrial)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
- Ability to calculate electrical loads and sizing
Troubleshooting Skills:
- Identifying and diagnosing electrical faults and malfunctions
- Using electrical testing equipment effectively
- Analyzing complex electrical problems and finding solutions
Project Management Skills:
- Planning, quoting, and organizing electrical projects
- Estimating project timelines and costs
- Supervising and coordinating a team of electricians
- Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
Communication Skills:
- Clear and concise communication with clients, contractors, and other team members
- Explaining technical concepts in layman's terms
