Youth Lacrosse Coach

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated youth lacrosse coach to join our lacrosse club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching - specifically girls lacrosse, with the ability to inspire players. This role is perfect for a former lacrosse player or current college player that would like to instill a love of lacrosse and teach the game to new and advanced players.

Duties

• Develop and implement a training program tailored to the needs of girls ages 7-11
• Conduct regular practice sessions (2x a week, March through May), ensuring that all participants are engaged and challenged.
• Prepare for and attend weekend games (1-2 per weekend, March through May)
• Educate students on techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship
• Manage player behavior effectively during practices and competitions, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence.
• Maintain safety standards during all activities to ensure a secure environment for all participants.

Experience

• Background in girls lacrosse.
• Experience working with youth of varying ages and skill levels is essential.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide players in both individual and team settings.
• A passion for educating youth through sports and physical activity.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 10 per week
