The opportunity
The Academic Advisor serves as the student's connection to the SNHU community. The Academic Advisor provides an unparalleled level of service and partnership to our students using our institutional commitments including: Mission, Vision, Culture Statement, SNHU core values and competencies, SNHU Service and Support Brand Values, and the Advising goals. Our advising model focuses on engagement with our online students to deliver a world-class level of leadership that positively impacts every learner we serve.The Academic Advisor provides exceptional service to students focusing on our goals: student success, student persistence, and student satisfaction in a remote setting.In this Role:- You will Uphold SNHU's Mission, Vision, Core Values and Core Competencies.
- You will use systems and reports daily to improve student success, and satisfaction.
- You will deliver upon the Customer Experience (CX) framework in every interaction.
- You will use the Student Engagement Guide to holistically outreach students.
- You will support all newly assigned students using the New Student Orientation guide.
- Demonstrate a warm and engaging approach with a commitment for ongoing development.
- You will review internal communication channels to stay informed and ensure delivery of accurate information.
- Use policies within University Catalog and Employee Handbook to best support students.
- You will establish long-term relationships with students navigating their academic journey.
- Track student information across multiple software systems.
- Help with commencement ceremonies and reception events.
- Attendance, punctuality, consistency are essential functions of this role.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Conferred Bachelor's degree
- Higher education, advising, admissions, or sales experience.
- Customer service, tutoring, coaching, or counseling experience.
- Willingness to grow in a feedback rich environment by connecting with peers and supervisors.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $38,750.00 - $62,010.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. The starting pay for this position is $47,840.00.Exceptional benefits (because you're exceptional)
