We operate on a schedule nearly unheard of in our field, Monday through Friday days. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. Our benefit package is competitive.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Materials Manager, the Materials Specialist is responsible for the receiving and restocking of supplies in a variety of areas of the surgery center. Duties include verification of delivered materials, tracking incoming inventory, database transactions, stocking shelves, routine monitoring of supply stock areas for low/consumed supplies, developing reorder lists based on min-max levels, breaking down boxes, inventory counts, and other materials related duties as needed. This position may branch into other basic purchasing or support responsibilities in other areas of the business.
The employee will support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center, and participate in quality improvement activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED.
Basic knowledge of medical supplies.
Ability to lift packages throughout the day
Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language.
All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.
Basic computer and spreadsheet skills
Preferred Characteristics:
Experience in a health care facility.
Experience in warehousing related activities.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Utilizes body mechanics and assistive devices and/or supportive personnel to move
materials, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds.
- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, bending body
downward and forward by bending legs and spine, bending legs at knees to come to
rest on knees and extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction are movements
which may be required in carrying out job responsibilities.
- Must be able to express and/or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Possible exposure to hazardous equipment.
- May be standing/walking most of shift
- Visual and aural acuity.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
