What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Office Coordinator position at Southern Pain and Spine?
Interventional Pain Management practice seeking experienced full-time front office coordinator to assist with duties including (but not limited to):
- Greeting patients and ensuring optimal first-impression for office patients/visitors
- Patient scheduling - maintains knowledge of all providers' schedules and restrictions
- Answering and returning phone calls
- Patient check-in and check-out processes
- Providing first-visit information over the phone to inquiring patients
- Data entry and maintaining updated records
- Verification of insurances, collecting co-payments, deductibles, and balances
- Posting daily payments accurately, generate daily report at the end day
- Processing incoming and outgoing referrals
- Other duties as requested
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once
- Excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and upbeat personality
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance and terminology
- Professional and mature demeanor and appearance
- 1 year Medical Office experience
- Previous experience with Athena EHR highly desired
- Medical Insurance and Billing experience
Salary commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
