- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives regarding referral status and necessary documentation.
- Assist in the management of medical records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of managed care principles to navigate complex referral processes.
- Provide support in a medical office environment by assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is required.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and managed care systems is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
