Responsibilities
- The EHS Specialist will ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop, review, and update HSE policies and procedures specific to chemical manufacturing operations.
- Conduct hazard assessments and risk analyses to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety and environmental risks.
- Develop and monitor emergency response and preparedness plans, including spill control, fire safety, and chemical release scenarios.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and drills for plant personnel on HSE protocols.
- Promote HSE awareness through campaigns, workshops, and ongoing communication.
- Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and environmental risks.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other departments to integrate HSE considerations into daily activities and projects.
- Act as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in HSE-related external audits.
