What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseman position at Southern Resort Group?
- Responsible for stripping guest rooms of dirty linen and terry and replenishing with the appropriate amount of clean linen and terry for the upcoming stay
- Responsible for removing all trash from guest rooms
- Responsible for loading and starting the dishwasher when there is a full load of dirty dishes in the unit
- Responsible for taking trash bins to the dumpster when full and ensuring the dumpster pad stays clean
- Responsible for obtaining clean linen and terry from the Laundry Department and replenishing/restocking housekeeping closets evenly
- Responsible for unloading deliveries of housekeeping supplies and distributing to housekeeping closets/storage areas
- Responsible for keeping housekeeping closets clean, tidy, and stocked. There should never be any linen on the floors or Lost and Found items in the closets
- Responsible for carrying out normal stay-over service in occupied guest rooms, which includes towel exchange and trash removal
- Responsible for running guest requests apart from normal stay-over service (cribs, pack n plays, etc.)
- Responsible for heavy lifting such as moving furniture and flipping mattresses
- Must be detail-oriented, have good customer service skills, be able to lift heavy items and understand cleaning basics
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and pull
- Must be willing to stand, walk, and kneel for an extended period of time
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
Part time position is flexible depending on your schedule, specifically looking for someone who can work on Monday and Tuesdays.
