Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Daycare Teacher to join our team at a Christian faith-based school. Our school integrates a faith-based curriculum designed to nurture children’s spiritual growth alongside their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to early childhood education, a love for guiding young learners, and an openness to incorporating faith-centered teachings in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, faith-based lesson plans that promote learning through play, exploration, and biblical principles.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment rooted in Christian values.
- Educate children on foundational concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, and shapes, while incorporating stories and teachings from scripture when appropriate.
- Foster character development through lessons emphasizing kindness, respect, and compassion.
- Manage classroom behavior by using positive reinforcement and effective classroom management techniques.
- Provide individual attention to students to support their unique learning needs.
- Communicate openly with parents about their child’s academic, spiritual, and developmental progress.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including First Aid protocols.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive, faith-enriched educational experience for all children.
- Support special education needs as required, adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles.
Skills:
- Strong background in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students in a daycare or educational setting.
- Understanding of age-appropriate caregiving practices for infants and young children.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Ability to provide CPR/First Aid when necessary and maintain safety standards within the classroom.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience or training in special education is a plus.
- Passion for nurturing children's growth in a Christ-centered environment and engaging in faith-based educational activities.
