Southern Specialties is looking for an Assembly Technician to work at our new, climate-controlled facility, where tight-tolerance sheet metal products are produced. This individual will be responsible for completing assembly/turnkey products. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and knows how to utilize hand and power tools.

- The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including, but not limited to, electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation or distribution.
- The extraction, compression, processing, manufacturing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible materials, elements, chemicals or any other highly regulated component.
Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing bending, squatting, and climbing while performing assembly work, inspecting work, machines, and checking assembly procedures.
Lifting of parts, weighting up to 50 pounds, from floor level, and carrying them 10 to 15 feet may be required. Lifting devices and team lifting should be used when possible. The job area requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
