Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring all packages match the corresponding documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment processes.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them accurately for delivery.
- Operate eBay, Amazon, Etsy to update inventory records in real-time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency within the distribution center.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and effective communication across departments.
- Will be manufacturing display boxes
- Able to list products on online platforms
- Able to answer phone calls and handle customer service.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate counting, measuring, and record-keeping.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.50 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
