Southern Team Automall, Virginias' #1 Volume New Car Dealer is seeking motivated, energetic individuals that are able to learn quickly and start generating results immediately.
We have an opening for a qualified, experienced Maintenance Assistant located in Roanoke , Virginia. This is not a custodian/cleaning position. This position requires mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and construction knowledge.
Position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager This position is full-time hourly with a preferred shift of Monday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM.
Candidates must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record with no DUI or reckless driving.
Candidates must have at least two years of verifiable maintenance experience that includes building construction, electrical, and mechanical. This position requires good communication, dependability and attention to detail, along with being able to take direction and work with limited supervision. Candidates must be flexible to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily walk-arounds to determine maintenance needs
- Identify and repair basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.
- Purchase necessary items for repairs
- Assist Facilities Engineer in larger projects
- Communication with outside vendors for project needs; get estimates, manage work orders and invoices
- Communication with all company departments regarding maintenance needs
- Other duties include assisting custodians with basic daily facility cleaning when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven record of achieving deadlines with good follow-through skills
- Past experience in Maintenance, preferably in a multi-rooftop establishment
- Attention to detail and deadlines and good communication skills
- Above-average energy level, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
- Personal and professional integrity
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
- Must be at least 20 years old.
