Southern Tier Pulmonary is a private medical practice. Seeking a strong, dedicated, experienced clinical medical assistant to join the team. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and service. Therefore, we are seeking a candidate who is positive, fast paced and a well-organized multitasker. The candidate has to have at least two years working in the same or similar position. Knowledge and experience with the EMR system MEDENT is a plus.
The job duties includes but is not limited to.
· Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart.
· Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
· Chart Prep- Ensure medical related information, including reports and labs. Are filed and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment.
· Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments and prepare sterilization as required.
· Facilitate communication of medical care via telephone triages. By fielding questions and providing answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
. Obtain authorizations for radiology and pharmaceutical medication as required by insurance.
· Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
· Additional duties as assigned by the clinical supervisor or practice administration. To ensure and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be integral to providing exceptional administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the office manager, your core responsibilities will include managing patient intake, maintaining electronic health records (EHR), and ensuring efficient patient service. Your knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support will enhance patient care.
