What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Office Assistant position at Southern Vermont Podiatry?
- Interact with patients in a positive and helpful manner, provide information and assistance as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task
- Monitor clinic schedule for arrival of patients and retrieves patient after check-in is complete.
- Input/scan accurate patient information and build a new/updated patient account in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Perform various clerical duties such as photocopying forms, faxing forms, filing forms/charts
- Scheduling patient appointments and referrals.
- Obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies.
- Answering and responding to in-coming calls and voice messages regularly.
- Collect payments, insurance co-pays and prepare weekly bank deposits.
- Prepare invoice statements as needed.
- Maintain proper patient flow.
- Monitor/order office supplies/items and resupply treatment rooms.
- Cleaning of treatment rooms and office.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
- Understand and implement HIPPA requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
