What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Projects Coordinator-CHORE Program position at Southfield, City of (MI)?
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the CHORE Program, including processing applications, scheduling services, and coordinating contractors for eligible homeowners.
· Recruit, oversee, and manage a list of insured and recommended contractors who can perform minor repairs, yard work, and other services.
· Create and manage databases and records to track program participants, service requests, and completed workorders.
· Maintain accurate statistical records, reports, and analysis of program activities, including budgets, expenditures, and outcomes.
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher in Human Services plus.)
· Experience in home maintenance, building trades, social services or customer service is a plus
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle challenging CHORE Clients’ situations with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Ability to create, format, and edit documents in Word.
· Database management skills for tracking and reporting.
· Ability to use Outlook for email communication and calendar management.
