We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team located in Wilmington, NC.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and dispatching service technicians, vehicles and/or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, priority customer requests or immediate needs
- Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from technicians, field inspectors or supervisors
- Using telephones, route management system or text messages to contact employees
- Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, respond to requests for services or equipment
- Preparing daily work such as scheduling onsite or remote service calls and merchandise replenishment.
- Overseeing communications within company assigned territories
- Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with managing team schedules and responding to customers' needs.
- Minimum of two to three years’ experience working as a dispatcher in a service industry (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pest control) responding to maintenance requests and scheduling service technicians.
- Organization
- Attention to detail.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass background check.
- Must have flexible work schedule available, including some weekends.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Light lifting may be required.
- Rate of pay is dependent upon experience.
