Position Summary:
The Connections Lead oversees the vision, direction, leaders and volunteers related to Connections at the associated campus. This position focuses primarily on the weekend guest experience and follow-up.

The Connections Lead oversees the vision, direction, leaders and volunteers related to Connections at the associated campus. This position focuses primarily on the weekend guest experience and follow-up.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience- Make sure all guests walk away from the weekend having the best experience a church can provide; from the parking lot to the auditorium and everywhere in between
- Collaborate with the Security and Medical team
- New Guests- Oversee the process involved in a guest’s first visit to Southland (from their initial visit through follow-up)
- Guest Experience Volunteers
- Recruit, evaluate, interview, and train all new volunteers
- Develop new and existing volunteers within an effective leadership structure
- Help establish a culture of fun, authenticity, relevance, and comfort
- Communicate effectively with volunteers
- Shepherd volunteers through connection, care, and appreciation
- Follow-up- Oversee the volunteers and processes related to connecting people to Jesus and to their associated campus. Ensure all people are cared for well, questions are answered, and thorough follow-up steps are taken every time. This includes mid-week follow-up with guests
- Special Events- Work with the Planning team to execute specific service elements utilizing the Guest Experience team
- Collaboration with the connections team (especially during our team day on Mondays at the Nicholasville Campus). Contextualize and implement that vision for the associated campus
- Support and contribute to the overall vision of the associated campus
- Participate in the life and ministry of the associated campus and Southland at large
- Serve at local campus events as available.
- Serve and support, as needed, central church events such as conferences and outreach initiatives
- Aid in promoting the gospel and the mission of Southland
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the campus lead and campus staff
- Be a point of contact for the Special Needs Ministry on the campus level
- Other Duties as Assigned
