Job Goal: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program
in a secondary environment that guides and encourages students to develop and
fulfill their academic potential.
Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License in Chemistry or Biology
Reports to: CEO or designee
Sample List of Duties and Responsibilities:
The teacher will provide quality instructional for students in regular and honors
courses in chemistry.
Establish a positive and supportive environment for an effective instructional
program.
Encourage consistent productive classroom environment.
Demonstrate respect for diverse perspectives, ideas, and options.
Accept and value students from diverse cultures and treat all students
equitably.
Assist students in setting goals and assuming responsibility.
Enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policies.
Use technology resources effectively.
Instruction is guided by the Danielson Framework of Teaching.
Collaborate with others to improve student academic performance
Communicate effectively with staff members, students, parents,
administrators, and community personnel.
Provide accurate and timely information to parents and students about
student attendance.
Keep administrators informed of parent contact and document interaction.

Act in a professional and ethical manner and adhere at all times to ethical behavior and professional conduct which is consistent with federal, state,
and Board policies.
Demonstrate attention to punctuality and regular attendance.
Ensure adherences to good safety standards.

Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
