Role
To operate in a floating capacity with the ability to drive between locations within SCU’s service center and branch network in any capacity needed. Assist Members and potential Members with their Credit Union needs directly and through other associates. Provides expertise with respect to more complex Credit Union services such as loans, memberships, IRAs, e-services, credit cards, CRM etc. Assists and supports with adherence to compliance, procedures, procedures and processes. Support and manage CU Sales Goals and culture through attainment for self and staff support. Support Relationship Rewards program to grow share of wallet. Manage departments cost control and profitability centers when possible. Ensure all internal and out-bound communication (verbal or written) is professional and grammatically correct.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- To Assist Members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about. Products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Ability to independently open, close and run the branch daily operations in the absence of branch management, including on Saturdays. Assists other Branch Service Reps with technical problems and questions relating to complicated products and regulations. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their manager, along with their recommendations. Assist and support new branch staff acquired through merges with hands on training, branch operations, compliance, lending, processes and procedures including ancillary partners. Assigned to new merger branches pre and post merger.
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to Members. This includes Ancillary products and services like LPL and Autoland. Participate in weekly sales calls when available.
- Assures that appropriate records are maintained, i.e. Member Account information on the system), and required reports are prepared, etc.
- Assists in monitoring all branch activities to insure they are in compliance, including Branch opening and closing policies and procedures.
- Acts as liaison between members and various organizations and departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, including assist Regional Branch Director with tasks/projects when not assigned to a branch.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A two-year college degree or related experience
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, confidentiality, and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills:
- Must have good communication skills relative to speaking and writing.
- Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit products (i.e. Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, BSA, Truth in-Savings Act, etc.).
- Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, computer keyboard and related software. Computer literate with skills relative to Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word to facilitate development of reports, spreadsheets, quick reference guides, etc.
