What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Southland Employment Services?
Employee loads & unloads company product (structural steel) from trucks & railcars, using material handling equipment (i.e. overhead cranes, forklift, & mi-jack lift). Employee communicates with customer (truck driver) regarding loading & unloading product. Product is then moved to designated "spots" in the warehouse with power equipment. Employee keeps warehouse clean during his shift by picking up steel traps, paper, and wood.
Essential Functions:
- Speak, Read, Write, & Understand English
- Walk, Stand, & Climb (5 to 6 steps on portable ladders
- Lift 30 lbs
- Work in Hot & Cold Climate Conditions - Outside & Inside the Warehouse
- Capable of Reading Tape Measurements
Requirements:
- Driver's License Required
Schedule:
- (1st Shift) Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- (2nd Shift) Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Saturday as needed
- Overtime as needed.
- $17.50/ hour
