We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, and ocular health assessments
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic medical record systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education activities
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid NC state license to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, physiology, and anatomy of the eye
- Experience in patient care and providing excellent customer service
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
