Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to spearhead business development and relationship management within our local market. This individual will play a pivotal role in generating revenue by building lasting business relationships and leveraging effective prospecting strategies. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in both phone and in-person cold calling, a skilled communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth through self-generated leads and by converting inbound opportunities. This position requires a mix of creativity, persistence, and strong relationship management to maximize success.
Essential Duties
- Market Representation: Act as the dealership’s ambassador, promoting our truck sales offerings to the local market.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Utilize available tools and resources to identify and prospect new business opportunities via outbound calls, in-person visits, and relationship-building.
- Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire used truck transaction process—from initial contact to delivery—ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Account Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Market & Customer Insights: Collect and present valuable market/customer intelligence to the leadership team to inform business strategies.
- Daily Operations: Maintain an organized daily call log, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement with leads.
- Product Expertise: Continuously develop expert-level knowledge of our truck offerings through sales certification programs and training.
- Technology Proficiency: Leverage Microsoft Office and proprietary software to manage sales activities and customer data efficiently.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage long sales cycles (up to 12 months or more) and consistently achieve sales goals.
- Be prepared to work on your feet and regularly engage with heavy-duty trucks.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications
- B2B Sales Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within a relevant industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and present solutions effectively.
- Technologically Proficient: Comfort and skill in using computer systems and software to manage sales activities.
- Self-Starter: Must be proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and relationships simultaneously.
- Willing and able to work on your feet and climb in and out of trucks as part of the sales process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Truck Sales Experience: Previous experience in truck sales is a plus. DTNA product knowledge a plus.
- Bilingual Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is a strong advantage.
- CDL: A Commercial Driver’s License
