Role Overview:
As a Patient Care Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the operational needs of the clinic. This position involves scheduling, registration, payment collection, and assisting patients with their needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer clinic calls, provide information, and take messages as needed.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring appropriate booking based on patient needs.
- Complete pre-visit processes at least 24 hours before patient appointments.
- Greet patients, update registration information, and assist new patients with registration forms.
- Verify insurance information and facilitate connections with Patient Advocates when applicable.
- Collect payments for services rendered and ensure accuracy of patient accounts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front office area.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuous quality improvement, and process development activities.
- Provide interpreting assistance as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Receptionist training and experience in scheduling clinical appointments.
- Proficiency in computer skills; Epic software experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
