In the Variable Schedule Employment Job Coach position you will:

• Work as a part of a team that supports individuals to positively shape their futures.
• Work with individuals to create Person Centered Plans.
• Assess and provide support tailored to meet the needs of individuals.
• Prepare job seekers for employment through skills development training. 
• Coach employed Participants onsite at their place of employment 
• Meet with employers to develop new job sites for our job seekers. 
• Be a Liaison between the employer and the employed participant. 
• Make an impact on a person’s future.

In the role of Employment Job Coach you will join a team that uses an innovative and person centered approach to support adults with developmental disabilities to gain skills that will empower them to achieve meaningful employment. Southside Unlimited’s mission is to empower individuals to develop skills to live a purposeful and meaningful life.

Preferred Experience:

• Some experience in Human Services and/or vocational training services.
• A passion for working with individuals to meet their goals.
• Have good computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Drive).
• Workforce Development experience is preferred but not required. 
• Ability to work autonomously and with a team.

To be eligible for this position you must:

• Be able and willing to work a flexible schedule based on the work schedule of the participant you will support. This may include evenings and weekends.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Be confident in your written and communication skills
• Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a DMV record with no more than 3 points in the last 4 years.
• Be able to use a computer for written reports and emails.

The salary is $21.00 per hour, between 36 and 40 hours per week. Hours will vary based on assigned participant work schedule.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday (Day and Evenings)
• Weekend and evening availability

COVID-19 considerations:

All work stations are at least six feet apart and all staff are provided access to PPE and sanitary supplies. All employees and program participants are screened each day to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• North Highlands, CA 95660: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
