Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of water utility, street, storm drain, street lighting, traffic signal, buildings, and related public works projects.
- Research project design requirements and perform complex calculations to prepare estimates of material costs.
- Assign routine inspection, investigation, design, and drafting tasks to technical subordinates and review completed work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline related to the area of assignment.
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience in engineering work in the area(s) of assignment.
- Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate.
