Southview Medical Group, P.C. is a large, multi-specialty, private practice located in Professional Building 3 of the UAB - St. Vincent's Hospital Campus. Our services include Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, and Infectious Disease. Southview offers a robust menu of on-site diagnostic testing including X-Ray, DEXA, Ultrasound, CT, Echo, and Nuclear Medicine. Our in-house Laboratory ensures we provide accurate patient results with an efficient turn-around time.
Our newest Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with Dr. Michael Han, Internal Medicine, to provide high quality primary care to adult patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing;
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions;
- Develop treatment plans for patients;
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment adherence;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in Southview's electronic health record (EHR) system;
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM.
Qualifications
- Education/ Experience
- Master's in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- 2 years Internal Medicine experience is preferred, new graduates considered.
- Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making skills, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) is required.
- Licenses/ Certifications/ Registrations
- Active Alabama Nurse Practitioner License is required.
- AGNP or FNP Board Certification preferred.
