Description
Southview Medical Group, P.C. is a large, multi-specialty practice including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Disease. We currently have an opening for a full time nurse.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Performing telephone triage, eRx, phoning/faxing in prescriptions, calling patients with lab and test results, providing patient education, obtaining pre-certifications for patients, managing prior authorizations, assisting with special injections/treatments as needed, and other duties as assigned by Manager.
This is a full time, 40 hr/week position, Monday through Friday. Work hours will typically be between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.
This is an in-office position.
Call volumes are high with an emphasis on patient education and customer service.
Qualifications
Southview strongly prefers that candidates have previous telephone triage experience in an office environment, good critical thinking/decision making skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to interact professionally with physicians, patients, co-workers, and management. Due to the high volume usage of Electronic Health Records, it is required that candidates have a strong background utilizing computers in a working environment.
Previous Medical Office Nursing experience strongly preferred.
Active Alabama license required.
