POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Fabricator, under the direction of the Operations Manager, will be responsible for operating and maintaining a mobile belt press at various Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fabricate and weld equipment platforms and plant piping.
- Maintain clean equipment and work area including shoveling and hosing.
- Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.
- Operate a tractor-trailer truck on site (non-highway) to stage trailers for loading.
- MUST be proficient in the welding process up to 1 inch thickness in mild steel. Other welding processes could be helpful.
- Proficient in Oxy/Acetylene-LPG Cutting up to 1” or 25mm
- Proficient in Plasma Cutting up to 1/2” or 12.5mm
- Proficient use of Abrasive Cutoff Saw, Horizontal Bandsaw and Drill Press
- Experience welding on and mild steel tanks, piping and components
- Understanding of tank plumbing and operation
- Layout, fabrication, and schematic reading
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Welder
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of high school diploma and/or GED with at least one-year of related customer support experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
- Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge
- Ability to work at a fast-paced schedule
- Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Ability to travel as needed - less than 5% may be required
- Basic Math skills, Geometry helpful
- Must be able to read metric or imperial measurements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening
- Ability to be certified in forklift and confined spaces
- Knowledge of threading helpful, Forklift experience helpful, Pipe fitting experience very helpful
- Ability to use Basic Hand and Portable Power Tools
- Minimum of 2 years welding experience.
