SUMMARY:
Under the leadership of the Talent Acquisition Manager and the AVP of Human Resources, the Recruiter is an active member of the Talent Acquisition Team in Human Resources who works to assist with the strategic vision, goals, and philosophy of Tift Regional Health System. Responsible for the research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Recruiter ensures that the employment strategies provide the ability attract and retain qualified employees. Refers qualified applicants to department managers for further interviews. Ensures new hires are scheduled for orientation/training. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Detailed responsibilities:
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Uses sound Human Resource and Budget principles to provide quality services to the departments served as well as being a liaison between the Workforce Management Committee and the hiring manager.
  • Ensures the continuous survey readiness of any and all regulatory agencies, including; Joint Commission, EEOC, CMS, and other governmental agencies
  • Develops, communicates and supports retention initiatives while tracking key turnover metrics.
  • Acts as a role model and steward to the shared vision, mission, values and service excellence standards of Tift Regional Health System.
  • Encourages staff and managers to provide input and make decisions to improve employee experience in the hospital.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and TRHS’ regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified
  • Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.
  • Understands and adheres to TRHS’ compliance standards as they appear in TRHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Keeps abreast of pertinent federal, and state regulations and laws and Tift Regional Health System, Inc. (“TRHS”) policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Understands and adheres to: TRHS’ compliance standards as they appear in TRHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy; and HIPAA and TRHS policies regarding privacy and security of protected health information.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks that meet the age-specific requirements of the persons, patients, vendors, and staff that the employee is charged to interact with as required by the position.
  • Offers suggestions on ways to improve operations of department and reduce costs.
  • Attends all mandatory education programs.
  • Improves self-knowledge through voluntarily attending continuing education/certification classes.
  • Maintains required competency levels as identified in written exams, skills checklists, skills labs, annual safety and health requirements as well as service excellence education hours requirements.
  • Cross-trains in order to better assist co-workers and to provide maximum efficiency in the department.
  • Volunteers/participates on hospital committees, functions, and department projects.
  • Manages resources effectively.
  • Reports equipment in need of repair in order to extend life of equipment and removes malfunctioning equipment out of service with timely reporting to the appropriate personnel.
  • Makes good use of time so as to not create needless overtime.
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree

* At least three to five years of HR recruitment experience preferred, experience in health care setting preferred, computer skills, ability to handle a variety of responsibilities with efficiency and organization, and maintaining excellent interpersonal skills
