Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy equipment, including semi-tractors, dump trucks, and concrete batch plants.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with drivers and operators to identify potential problems and implement solutions
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine necessary repairs or replacements
- Document and record all work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with shop managers and other team members to prioritize work schedules and minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient operations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, pavers, and rollers
- This role requires a self-motivated individual who is professional, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical examination
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
- ASE Certification (Preferred)
- Experience working with heavy equipment, particularly dump trucks and mixers (Preferred)
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends
