Industrial Estimator, Roles, and Responsibilities
The Industrial Estimator has overall responsibility and accountability for executing the estimating functions within the Industrial Division of SWECS. In alignment with and in support of the SWECS mission and culture, the Industrial Estimator feeds the Industrial Division pipeline as they enable the Industrial Division strategy and goals for performance. The Industrial Estimator reports directly to the Industrial Division Manager of SWECS.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Division Manager’s strategic and tactical plans to deliver the performance metrics for their division, as they relate to the Estimating team’s role, and as agreed to between the General Manager and Division Manager
· Develop and deliver bid packages that enable profit margins, schedule durations, and resource loading in alignment with the division requirements.
· Assess, identify, and mitigate risks associated with the bid packages to enable the outcome intended.
· Practice effective electrical estimating principles, practices, and techniques that deliver accuracy, efficiency, and clarity in the estimates for each division supported.
· Build relationships with PMs, support staff, customers, vendors, suppliers, and other contractors, in support of the Estimating team’s strategy and goals.
· Collaborate with Procurement / Purchasing during bid package development to leverage purchasing power and reduce project costs while reducing lead times.
· Able to work remotely (from home) and hold yourself accountable to mutually agreeable performance metrics.
Desired Skills:
· Minimum 7 years of experience delivering detailed cost estimates for Industrial Projects
· Expert skills in reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
· Excellent communication and management skills
· Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver results on time and budget.
· Proficient in MS Suite products, specifically Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Proficient with Accubid Estimating Software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
