Job Description: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will have extensive experience with civil engineering and be responsible for communicating that expertise to a team of younger engineers. This role requires effective leadership in the preparation of construction plans, specifications, exhibits, reports, quantities, cost estimates, and other related tasks.
- This position involves taking ownership of engineering design from start to finish, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and maintaining accurate files and contracts.
- You will exercise good decision-making, exhibit sound judgment, and demonstrate responsibility for project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role encompasses the design of commercial, single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use developments, including roadway, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer drainage system design.
- You will create, execute, and revise project plans as necessary to meet client needs, prepare engineering designs, and review deliverables for accuracy.
- Ongoing responsibilities include preparing for engagement reviews, quality assurance procedures, and ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- You will deliver high-quality construction drawings and engineering reports while effectively communicating difficult information.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer working in the land development industry.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD, Civil-3D, HEC-HMS, or PondPack, HEC-RAS is highly preferred.
- A strong ability to lead design creation and support client project goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, HEC Software, and Bentley applications.
