Responsibilities
- Prepare paperwork, labels and dock audits.
- Assist in preparing paperwork - pickups for all truck carrier shipments.
- Maintain an orderly work area and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Create packing slips/invoices (for out of state orders).
- Must be able to identify/describe all materials on a pick ticket to process both invoices and all shipping documents.
- Perform dock audits for each item shipping.
- Maintain files and records for shipments.
- Complete a Shipper Letter of Instructions (SLI) when requested and/or necessary.
- Process all Smart, FedEx, and Ecom shipments through their portals.
- Email shipment notifications to customers containing files of shipping documents and corresponding tracking information when needed.
- Scan all commercial invoices into folder on server for HQ & sales staff to access.
- Inspect packaging, labeling, and ship methods for conformance with customer requirements.
- Advise warehouse Shipping Supervisor of any inventory discrepancies, or quality issues.
- Unload, receive and put away product as part of the Warehouse Operation team.
- Building, staging, and loading pallet orders on modern forklifts and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in support of our Bulk team.
- Keep detailed records of outgoing shipment.
- Accountable for accuracy of packing slips and labels.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Basic Math and Computer skills.
- Must have shipping experience while working in a warehouse setting.
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
