ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT GERIATRIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Geriatric Behavioral Health is an 18 bed locked unit that cares for patients 55 with behavioral health and dementia related conditions. Acuity varies, and the department welcomes new grads. No call, no rotating shifts.
HOURS :
Full-time, 12-hour day shifts. 8 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 PM, with rotating weekends.
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for a variety of administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients. The position facilitates communication between physicians, nurses, patients and visitors and acts as a liaison with all other internal departments and external contacts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
High school diploma or GED required.
Required length of experience :
Recent medical / healthcare experience preferred.
Medical terminology knowledge is essential.
Computer, organizational, and customer service skills required.
