Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate various teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manage project schedules and timelines, utilizing tools such as HeavyBid for accurate construction estimating.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Review schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements and facilitate effective execution.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, preferably with asphalt projects.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards relevant to construction sites.
- Experience using Bluebeam or similar software for project management and documentation is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
