Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Oversight :
Lead and manage daily field operations across multiple paving and grading
projects.
Ensure project schedules are adhered to, identifying potential delays and
implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with Project Managers to align field operations with project
objectives, budgets, and timelines.
2. Quality Control :
Ensure all work meets or exceeds company quality standards and project
specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify that paving and grading work aligns
with plans and complies with industry standards.
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
3. Workforce Management :
Supervise and mentor field personnel, including foremen, operators, and
laborers.Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects to maximize productivity
and minimize downtime.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to develop team skills and
maintain high morale.
4. Safety and Compliance :
Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring
compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety meetings and audits, addressing hazards proactively.
Maintain all required documentation related to safety and regulatory compliance.
5. Equipment and Materials Management :
Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and scheduling of paving and grading
equipment.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and
supplies.
Monitor resource utilization to minimize waste and control costs.
6. Stakeholder Communication :
Act as the primary field liaison between the company, subcontractors, and
clients.
Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions to
stakeholders.
Represent the company professionally during site visits, inspections, and
meetings.
7. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making :
Identify potential field challenges and implement proactive solutions to minimize
disruptions.
Resolve disputes or conflicts among team members, subcontractors, and clients
effectively.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in paving and grading, with at least 5 years in
a supervisory or superintendent role.
Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects ($1 million to
20 million)
