What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at Southwest Office Systems, Inc.?
The Billing Specialist reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to, contract billing of sales, credit approvals, incoming emails, customer requests, collections, and supporting the accounting manager and department.
Responsibilities:
- Billing sales of serialized equipment to customers
- Create new maintenance contracts for invoicing
- Credit approvals for new customers
- Collections
- Spreadsheet billing on Excel
- Manage incoming emails
Skill Requirements:
- Analytical skills required, Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Effective time management
- 2 years’ of billing experience
- Accounting degree – a plus
