Description : POSITION OVERVIEW
The Audiology Clinical Coordinator supports the Licensed Hearing Aid Clinician(s) in performing routine tasks and duties, so the Clinician(s) are available for more evaluative, diagnostic, management and treatment required by the level of education and training of a Licensed Hearing Aid Clinician(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning and checking of hearing aids, minor repairing of hearing aids and processing hearing aid repairs to manufacturers.
- Maintain knowledge and monitoring of Clinician schedules to assist when needed (orders, repairs, late appointments, etc.).
- Counsel patients on use, cleaning and maintenance of hearing aids and accessories as directed by Clinicians.
- Process hearing aid orders by filling out appropriate paperwork and / or calling manufacturers.
- Maintain inventories, proactively order and stock hearing aids, parts, supplies and necessary equipment.
- Act as communication liaison between Clinicians, patients, and manufacturers as needed in relation to hearing aids.
