Southwest Ohio ENT Specialists Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our medical practice. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare financial regulations, and supporting the leadership team with accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry, and be comfortable handling complex financial transactions, reconciliations, and analysis. Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel needed, and QuickBooks knowledge preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management.
- Manage accounts payables, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Verify invoices are accurate and process payments.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Prepare financial information for retirement plans, including reconciliations, profit sharing calculations and IRS reporting; serve on fiduciary committee.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial and compliance audits.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and practice growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical practice setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
