Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:
Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
- Create weekly invoices and distribute to customers.
- Record payables and make timely payments.
- Deposit receivables and record within QuickBooks.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, such as payables, receivables, income statements, and balance sheets. Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Collect data for tax forms according to local and federal mandates.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Create and submit payroll bi-monthly.
- Maintain subscriber database, record payments, send out renewal notices.
- Act as liaison to vendors and facilitate contracts.
- Act as liaison for IT support, maintain email/computer equipment inventory.
Work Hours and Benefits:
We offer a flexible schedule with some remote work opportunity, but ideally the candidate will be available for several hours in the office Monday thru Friday.

Bookkeeper Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.
- A general understanding of the main accounting principles, such as accruals and revenue.
- Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of spotting and resolving discrepancies.
- Knowledge of Excel preferred.

Education and Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping experience required
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks required
- Knowledge of AccuZip preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Excel
Salary : $30 - $40
