Who We Are :
The Industrial Group in the Purchasing Department is responsible for negotiating and awarding purchase orders and assisting project managers in all phases of the procurement process.
Objectives of this Role :
Provide administrative and procurement support to the Industrial Group in Purchasing.
Develop a solid understanding of the Purchasing Policies and Procedures, and use personal judgment within defined levels of responsibility to process tasks to support Purchasing.
Interact daily with buyers and management concerning assigned clerical tasks.
Assist other clerical staff as needed.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :
Provide administrative support, such as making copies, scanning documents, maintaining electronic and / or hard-copy filing systems or databases, answering phone calls and distributing mail, and performing other clerical tasks as assigned.
Assist buyers in procurement process by placing online orders, processing change orders, clearing commitments, and handling any other requested tasks.
Run weekly and monthly reports and assist with ACH verification for the Purchasing Department.
Format files, including Word, PDF, and Powerpoint as needed.
Maintain Xerox machine supplies and manage service schedule.
Requirements :
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. General business courses preferred.
6 years : General clerical experience is required.
Experience fulfilling clerical responsibilities, including formatting and editing documents using Word, Excel, and other business software.
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
Ability to pay attention to details and follow directions.
