Job Summary
Southwest University is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. Job Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to various departments within the university, including but not limited to, scheduling appointments, preparing reports, maintaining files, and managing databases.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including email and mail, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with event planning and coordination, including reserving rooms, arranging catering, and coordinating with vendors.
Coordinate travel arrangements for faculty and staff, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars.
Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents as needed.
Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing and an administrative support role preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service oriented with a positive attitude.
- Experience with social media, copywriting, and creative content development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
