Southwest Virginia Community College seeks an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist to drive our institutional marketing initiatives and lead-generation efforts for academic and workforce programs. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, this role combines creative expertise with a data-driven strategy to elevate our college’s presence and attract prospective students to our vibrant campus.
This position requires a 12-month probationary period for both new hires and transfers.
This is an in-person position, not a remote position.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Transform complex institutional messages into compelling, audience-focused content
- Collaborate effectively with the Institutional Advancement team, admissions/recruitment teams, and faculty
- Analyze marketing performance data to optimize campaigns and engagement strategies
- Adapt communication approaches to meet evolving student needs and preferences
- Navigate the unique opportunities of marketing in a close-knit, rural college environment
- Experience in a higher education setting

Salary : $42,905 - $65,000
