Dental Care Coordinator (Dental Office Experience Required) – Tazewell, VA
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for outside referral sources, dental patients, answering questions, providing information, and assisting with scheduling.
Coordinate dental appointments, ensuring patients are scheduled promptly and accurately.
Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charts, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Assist with managing and updating referral network.
Follow up with patients to ensure referred treatment is completed.
Educate patients on oral health practices, insurance benefits, and treatment options.
Ensure that patients receive reminders for upcoming appointments and follow-up care.
Coordinate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Previous experience in a dental office required.
Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance processes, and scheduling systems is required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EMR systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
