What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admission Representative position at Southwestern College?
Job Summary
The primary role of this position is to help recruit and enroll undergraduate and graduate learners into our Global/Professional Studies online and main campus programs. This position is located on the main campus within the admissions office in Winfield, Kansas. This is a FT non-exempt, 12-month position, reporting to the Director of Admissions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Outreach and Recruitment to include:
- Recruit within an assigned territory and meet the established recruitment goals.
- Respond quickly and effectively via email, phone calls, text messages, and other communication methods to connect with prospective students.
- Develop relationships with prospective students while serving as a personal point of contact through the entire admissions process including: application, transcript evaluation and processing, and enrollment in first-session courses.
- Work in tandem with the faculty, staff, academic coaches, and administration to maximize recruitment efforts.
- Utilize all recruitment technology devoted to organizing and holding student data for the purposes of interdepartmental communication and strategic recruitment.
- Participate in on-campus and off-campus recruitment events including some evening and weekend events and travel.
- Display a professional attitude and presence in all aspects of the job.
Travel to include:
- Work with the Director of Admission and the Vice President for Enrollment Management to determine travel plans for recruitment.
- Represent Southwestern College at College Fairs, Special Events, and other external recruitment-based efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a four year degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to serve.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Experience working in Web, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media platforms, and be skilled in managing basic office tasks.
