Project Manager, Foxborough, MA
Sovereign Consulting Inc., a national environmental consulting and remediation firm, is seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience working in Massachusetts at its Foxborough, MA location.
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager position is a responsible, self-motivated individual who is eager to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to work with one of the most highly regarded firms in the environmental consulting and site assessment / remediation business. Assigned position responsibilities will be commensurate with experience and include a variety of the responsibilities listed as workload or client demands dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and guidance of staff level positions & responsibilities
- Management of multiple projects involving hydrogeologic and remedial investigations
- Collection and analysis of site characterization data and information
- Indoor air-quality evaluations and other exposure pathway and risk evaluations
- Evaluation and comparison of site-specific characterization data to cleanup standards
- Preparation of Site Characterization Reports, Investigative and Remedial Action Plans/Reports, as well as other technical reports
- Implementation and evaluation of monitored natural attenuation and natural source zone depletion is beneficial but not required
- Interaction with Client and Regulators to develop site specific budgets, work scopes, and closure plan
- Oversight of a project team and dissemination of client program requirements
- Compilation and consistency review of program-related submittals prepared by various project team members
- Primary contact with Client for specific states within an area portfolio (e.g. MA/RI/NH)
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of related experience
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Earth Sciences (Geology, Geophysics, Geotechnical, or Environmental) or a related major such as Mathematics/Physics, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
- Proficient in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Ability to evaluate and determine competency levels of staff and be able to delegate work appropriately
- Experience with MassDEP & RI Regulations
- Experience with the Mass 21J UST cleanup reimbursement fund a plus
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and current 8-hour refresher preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical, and field sampling skills
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Clean driving record
